A Home Based Business Is a Great Option
For Creating Extra Income
Almost everyone I talk to wishes they had a little extra income. Does that sound familiar to you? If so, you may want to lend an ear for a few minutes and hear me out.
If you find yourself in a situation where you would like to create extra income, what are your options?
Work a second job?
Or maybe you already have a second job so in this case, it would be a third job.
Is that really want you want to do?
Is there really another option besides taking on another job?
There’s only ONE other option that I know of and that’s starting your own home based business.
Let’s talk about the job for a moment.
Here’s the problem with trading time for dollars (a job) in a situation like this.
- You’re burning the candle at both ends with nothing to show for it at the end of the day other than a few bucks.
- It’s time away from family, friends, hobbies, workouts, spiritual renewal and rest.
- It’s more taxes to pay.
- It’s not fulfilling.
Now, if it’s just a temporary need, perhaps taking a job for a month is all that’s necessary. Something like raking leaves in the fall to pay for Christmas gifts, say. That would be what I consider to be a temporary need.
However, if you find yourself always needing extra income, my recommendation would be to start a home based business where you create a long term stream of income you can count on for years.
This way you can begin to build something for yourself that will reward you in the future and give you all the tax benefits of having a home based business that I know you’ll appreciate. Be sure to read my articles on that. If people really understood the tax benefits, I know more people would seek out this option enthusiastically.
And, the tax benefits for small businesses, which your home based business qualifies for, are remarkable.
Starting a home based business for extra income can seem intimidating but really, it’s simply you finding a product you believe in and recommend to others. When someone buys your product, you generate a commission.
Did you know that some of the greatest products are offered through the home based business industry? There’s many to choose from, surely you’ll find something you can be passionate about and that makes sense to buy for most people. So you can be proud of the product(s) you decide on.
You want to be sure and chose a product that pays a commission to where it means something to your pocketbook. Here’s the reason why.
As you go out and share your product line with others, it’s the same time, effort and possibly marketing costs regardless of the price point and commissions earned. Therefore, it makes better sense to offer a higher ticket item, thus earning higher commissions.
This way, when someone says “Yes” and buys from you, you can create that extra income, most often, with just one sale.
You can work on your home based business for as many hours per week that you were going to spend anyway at your 2nd or 3rd job. Use that time to share your products with others.
In summary, if you simply want to take a part time job for a short period of time to accomplish a goal, that’s one thing.
However, if you like the idea of consistent extra income to do more things with like…
- saving for college
- taking more vacations
- buying that house you’ve been wanting
- undertaking a renovation
- giving to charities that touch your heart
- securing your retirement
- stepping up your lifestyle
… then I recommend you start a home based business, have a great deal of fun along the way, meet some fabulous new people and be about creating that extra income each and every month and grow it into a primary income over time.
This new primary income over time can lead to perfect time freedom to do the things you want to do, when you want to do them. Now you’re in total control of your own economy while bettering the lives of all who purchase your products.
For most people, an extra $300-$500 a month would make such a difference. Find a product where when you sold just one item, you can make that. This way, you would just need to sell one a month.
If you sold two products, that’s an extra $600-1000 a month.
If you sold three products, that’s an extra $900-$1500 a month.
If you sold four products (1 a week), that’s an extra $1200-$2000 a month.
When you break it down like this, it’s easy to see that the commission you earn is directly related to how many sales you need to make to hit your extra income need per month.
Kind of exciting, yes?
And the bonus in all of this is you now get all the tax benefits of being an entrepreneur. Now you pay taxes after all your business expenses.
I hope this article helped you to see how a home based business can help you on an ongoing basis if you’re always crunched for extra income at the end of the month.
